Repeat Prescription

Need a repeat of an existing prescription? During a video consult, our clinicians review your medication history and conduct a clinical safety review. If a repeat is deemed medically appropriate, an eScript can be issued for use at the Australian pharmacy of your choice. You can do this from home, without a paper script.

All clinical outcomes depend on your individual circumstances. Emintell Hub does not guarantee any particular health outcome. Your clinician will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

Telehealth is not suitable for all health concerns. Your practitioner may recommend in-person assessment, urgent care, GP review, specialist referral, further investigation or no treatment depending on your circumstances.

What to expect

What to expect from your consultation.

  1. Before Your Consult

Have your current medication details ready, including the name, dose and how long you have been taking it. Complete the intake form with your medication history.

  2. During Your Consult

A brief video consultation where your clinician confirms the medication, checks for any changes in your health and conducts a safety review.

  3. After Your Consult

Where a prescription is issued, your eScript is typically sent to your phone or email promptly after your consultation. Delivery timeframes may vary. You can use it at the Australian pharmacy of your choice. Your consult summary is saved to your patient portal.

Running out of medication should not mean rearranging your entire day. Our repeat prescription service connects you with an AHPRA-registered clinician for a clinical safety review of your current medication. If everything checks out and a repeat is deemed medically appropriate, an eScript can be issued for use at the Australian pharmacy of your choice.

Your clinician will confirm your current dose, check for any recent health changes and review potential interactions before reissuing your script. This is not a rubber stamp: it is a genuine clinical review, conducted efficiently. If your clinician identifies any reason to adjust your treatment, they will discuss this with you openly and outline the next steps.

All treatments carry potential benefits and risks. Your clinician will discuss these with you during your consultation so you can make an informed decision. Individual results vary based on your individual circumstances. Assessment findings do not guarantee a particular outcome. All clinical decisions are made by your treating clinician based on your personal health profile.

Prescribing scope: Prescriptions are issued by your treating clinician within their AHPRA-registered scope of practice. Where a prescription requires a medical practitioner, your consultation may be allocated to one of our GP clinicians.

eScripts are typically sent promptly after your consult ends, directly to your phone via SMS or to your email address. Delivery timeframes may vary.
If your clinician determines that a repeat is not medically appropriate at this time, they will explain why and discuss alternative next steps, which may include further investigation or an in-person review.
No. You can request a repeat prescription even if this is your first appointment with us. Your clinician will review your medication history as part of the safety check.
