Mental Health

A dedicated telehealth consultation focused on your mental health. Our AHPRA-registered clinicians take the time to listen, assess your situation and, where appropriate, develop a care plan that may include referrals, support strategies or treatment options.

  • AHPRA-registered clinicians
  • Telehealth, Australia-wide
  • Use any Australian pharmacy you choose

All clinical outcomes depend on your individual circumstances. Emintell Hub does not guarantee any particular health outcome. Your clinician will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

Telehealth is not suitable for all health concerns. Your practitioner may recommend in-person assessment, urgent care, GP review, specialist referral, further investigation or no treatment depending on your circumstances.

How we support you

Tools your clinician can draw on.

A toolkit, not a one-size-fits-all script. Hover any card to see how it fits into your overall plan.

01

Mental Health Assessment

A clinical assessment of your current mental health, including symptom history, impact on daily life, existing support and any previous treatment.

02

Mental Health Care Plan

Where your clinician determines it is appropriate, a mental health care plan can be created. This may include referrals to psychology, counselling or other mental health support services.

03

Medication Review

If you are currently taking medication for a mental health condition, your clinician can review your treatment, assess how it is working and make adjustments if deemed medically appropriate.

04

Support and Referrals

Where clinically appropriate, your clinician can refer you to psychology, counselling, crisis support or other mental health services to complement your care.

What to expect

What to expect from your consultation.

  1. Before Your Consult

Complete the intake form with as much detail as you are comfortable sharing about your current mental health, symptoms and any previous treatment. This helps your clinician prepare.

  2. During Your Consult

An extended video consultation where your clinician listens to your concerns, asks relevant questions and conducts a structured mental health assessment. There is no rush.

  3. After Your Consult

Where your clinician creates a care plan or referral, it is made available to you electronically. Any prescription is provided only where clinically appropriate, following your consultation.

Mental health deserves the same attention and clinical rigour as any other aspect of your health. Our dedicated mental health consult gives you extended time with an AHPRA-registered clinician to talk openly about what you are experiencing, with extended consultation time dedicated to your concerns.

Your clinician will listen, ask the right questions and conduct a clinical assessment. If a mental health care plan is appropriate, it can be created during your appointment. Where a care plan is appropriate, Medicare rebates for psychology or counselling sessions may be available, subject to your eligibility. If you are already on medication, your clinician can review how your current treatment is working and, if deemed medically appropriate, make adjustments. Where clinically appropriate, referrals to psychology, counselling or other support services can be arranged.

Where a mental health care plan is created during your Emintell Hub consultation, Medicare rebates for sessions with an external psychology or counselling provider may be available, subject to your eligibility. The Emintell Hub consultation fee itself is not Medicare-rebated.

All treatments carry potential benefits and risks. Your clinician will discuss these with you during your consultation so you can make an informed decision. Individual results vary based on your individual circumstances. Assessment findings do not guarantee a particular outcome. All clinical decisions are made by your treating clinician based on your personal health profile. If you are in crisis, call 000 or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Prescribing scope: Prescriptions are issued by your treating clinician within their AHPRA-registered scope of practice. Where a prescription requires a medical practitioner, your consultation may be allocated to one of our GP clinicians.

Service FAQ

Mental Health: Common questions

Yes. If your clinician assesses that a mental health care plan is appropriate for your situation, it can be created during your telehealth consultation.
Medication may be discussed as part of your assessment. If deemed medically appropriate, your clinician can prescribe or adjust medication. This is always a shared decision based on your preferences and clinical needs.
Mental health consults are extended to allow for a clinical assessment. The exact duration depends on your needs, but you will not be rushed.
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 000 or Lifeline on 13 11 14. Our telehealth service is not a crisis or emergency service.
